The Cloud Engineer training is designed for beginners, career changers, and professionals who want to further develop their skills in cloud computing, either alongside their job or full-time.

Basic knowledge of IT, networking, or system administration is helpful. Initial experience with Linux, scripting, or a programming language (e.g. Python) is an advantage, but not a mandatory requirement.

Before the program starts, you will take an aptitude test that assesses your technical foundations. This helps ensure that the training is optimally aligned with your profile and career goals.

As the training is 100% online, you will need:

    • a computer or laptop
    • a stable internet connection
    • a webcam for live masterclasses

Yes. Upon successful completion, you will receive recognized certificates that validate your cloud skills and significantly improve your career prospects.

Thanks to our partnership with Université Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, you will also receive an academically recognized university certificate from an internationally renowned institution.

In addition, you will receive a Liora certificate of completion documenting your hands-on Cloud Engineer skills, as well as module certificates after each successfully completed module – ideal for your CV and LinkedIn profile.

The training also specifically prepares you for internationally recognized cloud certifications, particularly in the AWS ecosystem.

The Cloud Engineer training can be financed flexibly:

    • Education voucher (Bildungsgutschein): If you are unemployed, seeking employment, or at risk of unemployment, you may be eligible to finance your training through an education voucher from the Federal Employment Agency (Agentur für Arbeit) or the Jobcenter. In this case, 100% of the training costs are covered.
    • Installment payments: Alternatively, you can finance the training yourself. We offer flexible installment plans to make your investment easier to integrate into your daily life.
    • Employer-sponsored financing: Many companies support the part-time training of their employees. The Qualification Opportunities Act (Qualifizierungschancengesetz) can also be used for this purpose.

Our advisory team will support you in choosing the financing option that best suits your situation.

The training is based on a hybrid learning concept that combines maximum flexibility with hands-on support:

    • 80% practice-oriented self-study on an interactive cloud learning platform with real-world use cases
    • 20% live masterclasses via video conferencing with experienced cloud trainers

    You can complete the training:

    • full-time as a bootcamp, or
    • part-time alongside your job

This allows you to optimally balance your training with your professional and personal life.

Cloud Engineers are responsible for building, operating, and optimizing modern cloud infrastructures. Typical tasks include:

    • Planning and deploying cloud architectures (e.g. AWS)
    • Managing compute, storage, and network resources
    • Automating deployments and infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code)
    • Ensuring security, availability, and scalability
    • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
    • Collaborating with DevOps, security, and development teams

Cloud Engineers are among the most in-demand IT professionals on the German job market, which is reflected in competitive salaries:

    • Entry-level salary: approx. €55,000–65,000 gross per year
    • Average salary: around €75,000 gross per year
    • With professional experience: often €85,000–100,000 gross per year, depending on cloud specialization, and sometimes more

Actual salaries depend on professional experience, cloud platform, industry, and region. Due to strong demand for cloud expertise, this role offers excellent long-term career and development prospects.
